Professional Staff
Our staff is carefully chosen; each teacher has experience working with preschool-age children. Staff members hold degrees in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associate Credentials, or are attending early childhood classes. All staff members are engaged in furthering their skills through Discovery School's requirement to obtain a minimum of 20 annual hours of continuing education in early childhood development. All staff members are CPR/First Aid certified.
In addition, several members of our staff are affiliated with the following professional associations:
1. NAEYC - National Association for the Education of Young Children
2. SACUS - Southern Association for Children Under Six
3. NACCP- National Association of Child Care Professionals
4. High Scope Educational Research Foundation
Our director is a Professional Administrator, with credentials by the Texas Licensed Child Care Association and Texas Association of Child Care Administrators.
Discovery School staff meet all Texas Department of Family and Protective Service guidelines for background checks and state required fingerprinting guidelines.
